at the start of the backswing break the wrists and just swing down holding that angle make sure the ball is slightly forward in the stance and it should pop out !
Have faith in your swing. Aim a little left to the hole (that is if you’re right hand). Open the club face a little bit more. Put your weight a little to the left foot. Hit it twice as hard as you would on a normal distant shot. Generally, you would aim to hit the ball just one and a half or two inches behind the ball instead of hitting right at the ball. One more tip, I use more left hand and keep the right hand quiet throughout the swing.
That should do it. Otherwise, get the pro.
Good luck.
go to a driving range and use there short game area…. stand in the sand trap and hit balls out until it hurts…. golfs all about patience and practice, after a WHILE things will start to come natural to you
You didn’t mention where abouts in the Bunker you would be… if it’s in the middle and not plugged I would try to take it off without taking sand. If it’s very close to the ‘ Pin’ use your Sand wedge with an very open face and swing out to in. It works for me!
It’s a shot that I typically don’t practice because when I do, I don’t hit it well. I get it out of the bunker 95% of the time. I get it on the green 90-95% of the time. The most important thing is to not hit the ball. You want to hear a “thump”. That means you didn’t hit the ball. If you hear a “click”, that means you hit the ball. The club head needs to pass through the sand and underneath the ball pushing it up and out of the bunker. I like to think of it as hitting a flop shot out of the sand. Some may disagree with that. I pretty much use the same motion as a flop shot. The ball needs to be toward the front of your stance. I use a 56* wedge, but you can use a lob wedge as well.
